Sharing Professional Information

After signing up to the SQUIZZ.com platform you are able to set details of your current and past employment. Once done you can then choose to share your professional history with selected people and organisations. By sharing your employment information with others it may help you to gain future employment and other opportunities, additionally it may allow people and organisations to verify you and accept your connection requests.

Prerequisites

Overview

After logging into the SQUIZZ.com platform you have the ability to list your current and past employment positions that you have held. This employment information can then be seen by selected people and organisations when viewing your details within the Personal Details dialog box. You can control the people and organisations who can view your information through the use of data sharing policies.

Past Employment

The SQUIZZ.com platform allows you to list all of your past employment positions and set the following details about each position:

  • Position Title
    Set the title of your position held within the organisation at the time.
     
  • Position Description
    Set the description of the position. You may wish to include the tasks you performed, responsibilities you had, the projects you worked on, and the department or people that you worked with.
     
  • Organisation Name
    Name of the organisation that you held the position with at the time.
     
  • Start Year
    Set the year that you started working in the employment position.
     
  • Start Date
    Set the date that you started working in the employment position.
     
  • End Year
    Set the year that you finished working in the employment position.
     
  • End Date
    Set the date that you finished working in the employment position.
     
  • Country
    Set the primary country where you were working within the employment position.
     
  • State/Region/Province
    Set the primary state, region, or province where you were working within the employment position.

Past Employment Verification

You can request to have your past employment verified by organisations registered within the platform. Once the organisation has verified your past employment then when another person views your past employment they will be able to see that it has been verified. This employment verification can give people and organisations viewing your details reassurances that the information that you are providing is accurate.

Current Employment

The SQUIZZ.com platform allows you to list your current employment positions within the Personal Details dialog. To do this you must be connected with the organisation that you are currently employed with. Additionally within that organisation you must be set as an employee, and your position must be set by an administrator or other person within the organisation who has permissions to set the details of your position. Once this has been done then your current employment will display with any previous employment that you have sent. If the organisation that currently employs you is not registered within the SQUIZZ.com platform then you may want to advise the person who is authorised within the organisation to register the organisation, or else you can register the organisation if you have that authority.

Add Past Employment

To add a past employment position to your SQUIZZ.com profile follow these steps:

  1. Login to the SQUIZZ.com platform from the Home page or mobile app.
  2. Click on your profile image or name within the top header bar to open the Personal Options menu.
  3. Click on the Employment History menu item.
  4. Click on the Add Past Employment button.
  5. In the Position Title text box type in the title of your past position.
  6. In the Position Description text area type details of your past position.
  7. In the Organisation Name text box type the name of the organisation at the time the position was held.
  8. In the Start Year drop down select the year that you started working in the position.
  9. Click on the Start Date and select the date that you started working in the position.
  10. In the End Year drop down select the year that you finished working in the position.
  11. Click on the End Date and select the date that you finished working in the position.
  12. In the Country drop down select the country that you were primary working in.
  13. In the State/Region/Province drop down select the state, region, or province that you were primary working in.
  14. Click on the Save button.

The past employment position will be added to the list of past employment. Details of the position will display within your personal profile if a person has permission to view your employment based on the data sharing policy that they are assigned to.

Modify Past Employment

To modify a past employment position to your SQUIZZ.com profile follow these steps:

  1. Login to the SQUIZZ.com platform from the Home page or mobile app.
  2. Click on your profile image or name within the top header bar to open the Personal Options menu.
  3. Click on the Employment History menu item.
  4. Click on the Modify button against the past employment position that you wish to modify.
  5. In the Position Title text box type in the title of your past position.
  6. In the Position Description text area type details of your past position.
  7. In the Organisation Name text box type the name of the organisation at the time the position was held.
  8. In the Start Year drop down select the year that you started working in the position.
  9. Click on the Start Date and select the date that you started working in the position.
  10. In the End Year drop down select the year that you finished working in the position.
  11. Click on the End Date and select the date that you finished working in the position.
  12. In the Country drop down select the country that you were primary working in.
  13. In the State/Region/Province drop down select the state, region, or province that you were primary working in.
  14. Click on the Save button.

The past employment position will be updated in the list of past employment. The updated details of the position will display within your personal profile if a person has permission to view your employment based on the data sharing policy that they are assigned to.

Remove Past Employment

To remove a past employment position from your SQUIZZ.com profile follow these steps:

  1. Login to the SQUIZZ.com platform from the Home page or mobile app.
  2. Click on your profile image or name within the top header bar to open the Personal Options menu.
  3. Click on the Employment History menu item.
  4. Click on the Remove button against the past employment position that you wish to delete.
  5. In the Remove Past Employment dialog click the OK button.

The past employment position will be removed from the list of past employment and no longer display within your personal profile.

Verify Past Employment

To have your past employment position verified by its organisation follow these steps:

  1. Login to the SQUIZZ.com platform from the Home page or mobile app.
  2. Click on your profile image or name within the top header bar to open the Personal Options menu.
  3. Click on the Employment History menu item.
  4. Click on the Verify button against the past employment position that you wish to have verified.
  5. In the Verify Employment dialog type in the name the organisation that had employed you in the position from within the Organisation Name text box.
  6. Select the organisation name from the drop down that displays under the Organisation Name text box. If the organisation does not display in the drop down then check that it has been registered within the SQUIZZ.com platform.
  7. Optionally in the Message textarea type in a message that will help the verifying persons within the organisation to verify your employment.
  8. Click the Request Verification button.

A past employment verification request will be sent to the organisation. Once a person within the organisation has accepted your verification request then your past employment position will be marked as verified, and you will receive a notification advising as such.

Add Current Employment

To be able to add your current employment positions to your listed employment, you need to do the following:

  1. Connect to your employed organisation as an employee, or talk to the administrator(s) or staff managing the organisation to have you set as an employee. If your employed organisation is not registered within the SQUIZZ.com platform then ask the authorised person in the organisation to register it, if you are that person then you can register your organisation.
  2. Ask the the administrator person or staff managing the organisation's people to set your employment position title, description, and start date.

Modify Current Employment

To be able to modify your current employment positions, you need to do the following:

  1. Ask the the administrator person or staff managing the organisation's people to change your employment position title, description, and start date.

Remove Current Employment

To be able to remove your current employment positions, you need to do the following:

  1. Ask the administrator person or staff managing the organisation's people to no longer have you set as an employee. Alternatively you can disconnect from the organisation, however you may then no longer have access to some of the organisation's information, such an internal feeds, and account data.
