Term | Description |

Adaptor | A component within the Connector software that allows an Accounting/ERP system to talk to the connector, as well as Ecommerce systems, such as the SQUIZZ.com platform, or the TOTECS Ecommerce system. |
Accounting System | One or more pieces of software that organisations use to track their business activities and store their data. These systems are typically installed in internal computer networks of an organisation, and are used by many people in different roles. Accounting systems typically focus more on the record keeping side of an organisation's accounting department used by accountants and book keepers. |
API | Application Programming Interface. It is a piece of software within a system that allows other software to directly communicate with it, without human intervention required. |
Enterprise Resource Planning system | One or more pieces of software that organisations use to track their business activities and store their data. These systems are typically installed in internal computer networks of an organisation, and are used by many people in different roles. ERPs typically encompass an Accounting System as well as other business systems to make up a whole. |

ESD | Ecommerce Standards Documents. A set of document specifications that dictates the kinds of data that can be shared between different computer systems, that are used for Ecommerce purposes. |
TOTECS | Stands for Total Ecommerce System. It's developed by TOTECS Pty Ltd and allows organisations to have websites that many people can use to trade online at any given time. The TOTECS platform can talk to an organisation's Accounting/Enterprise Resource Planning systems using the Connector software. |
ODBC | Open Database Connectivity - This is a Microsoft interface used for accessing relational databases using SQL. |
SQL | Structured Query Language - This is the language used by database administrators or software programs that run queries on relational databases that adhere to SQL-92 standards. |
WMS | Warehouse Management System. A computer system developed by Datapel used to track stock within warehouse locations, as well as tracking deliveries, and accounting aspects. |
